Saturday 25 February, 2012 — In the Shadow of the Cross
The Rev'd Chris Mostert will conduct this year's Lenten Quiet Day. He will give two talks to guide the retreat. The first will be on the messianic life of Jesus, and the second will be on the messianic death of Jesus.
Dr Mostert is Professor of Systematic Theology in the Uniting Church Theological College. He is a minister in the Uniting Church of Australia and has been co-chair of the joint Working Group on the Anglican and Uniting Churches in Australia.
This seminar takes the form of a quiet Saturday morning at St Peter's Church, between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm on Saturday the 25th of February. The cost is $15 (concession $12).
Theology is loving God with our minds. Our Lord told us to do that as well as with our hearts and souls. Every Christian is called to be a theologian. If theology is basically talking about God, if you do that to any extent, you are a theologian. The question is, are you a good one or a bad one?
